The Bronze Vagabond
The commune of Châteauneuf-sur-Cher has the honor – and even the genuine joy – of inviting you to the unveiling of an ornamental bronze dedicated to Marcel Bascoulard, a free spirit, a street wanderer, a leash-free dreamer, a friend of stones, cats, and silence.
This will take place at Place Marcel Bascoulard, on Friday, June 12, 2026, at 6:30 PM.
We will gather there as we do for beautiful moments... a little moved, a little proud, with our hearts beating under our coats.
This artwork, graciously donated to the commune by Audrey Fléchet and the Fonderie du Champ Bon, will adorn the stele offered by the Association des Amis de Marcel Bascoulard et des Chats.
A bronze for memory…
but living, solid, planted there to last when we are gone.
A fitting tribute: simple, frank, upright.
Please come in large numbers.

To remember.
And to return to Marcel Bascoulard a little of what he left in our streets, in our eyes, in the wind of this place.
